A method of producing a personalised security document or article (1 ) includes providing a substrate (2) which is transparent at least to visible light. A diffractive optical microstructure (5) is formed in a substantially opaque layer (3) disposed on a surface of the substrate (2). The diffractive structure (5) comprises a plurality of apertures formed in the opaque layer (3), such that when the structure is suitably illuminated, for example by a beam of collimated light (7), a projected image (14) is generated which is unique to a particular individual. Also, personalised security documents or articles made in accordance with the method.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un document ou d'un article de sécurité personnalisé (1). Ledit procédé consiste à utiliser un substrat (2) qui est transparent au moins à la lumière visible. Une microstructure optique diffractive (5) est formée dans une couche sensiblement opaque (3) disposée sur une surface du substrat (2). La structure diffractive (5) comprend une pluralité d'ouvertures formées dans la couche opaque (3), de sorte que lorsque la structure est éclairée de manière appropriée, par exemple par un faisceau de lumière collimatée (7), une image projetée (14) est générée, laquelle est spécifique d'un individu particulier.
