Methods are provided for preventing or attenuating pathoangiogenic conditions by administering at least one GBS toxin receptor polypeptide or at least one immunogenic fragment thereof. Also provided are a composition that includes a GBS toxin receptor polypeptide and a method for making such a composition. In another embodiment of the invention, immunized animals also receive GBS toxin, immunocompatible antibodies to the GBS toxin receptor, and/or expanded autologous T cells to the GBS toxin receptor. Also included in this invention are methods of identifying additional GBS toxin receptors.
L'invention concerne des méthodes de prévention ou d'atténuation d'états pathologiques angiogéniques, consistant à administrer au moins un polypeptide du récepteur de la toxine GBS ou au moins un fragment immunogène de ce dernier. L'invention concerne également une composition renfermant un polypeptide du récepteur de la toxine GBS et son procédé de fabrication. Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, des animaux immunisés reçoivent également la toxine GBS, des anticorps immunocompatibles avec le récepteur de la toxine GBS, et/ou des lymphocytes T autologues multipliés avec le récepteur de la toxine GBS. Cette invention concerne également des méthodes d'identification d'autres récepteurs de la toxine GBS.
