A microwave cooking device having a generally cylindrical door assembly opens to permit movement of a food container in upwardly vertical direction. The generally cylindrical door assembly has a rigid or flexible microwave-opaque screen so as to be opened and closed to reveal the interior chamber in sliding, folding, rolling, or rotational movement. A means for water molecules to escape from the interior chamber may be provided. This invention relates to microwave cooking devices, more particularly to a microwave cooking device having a movable door.
