ABSTRACT Various methods and apparatus are disclosed which relate to material cutting of the type which typically ranges from abrading hard materials to slicing soft materials. Cutting in the foregoing manner is accomplished by an angled cutting edge which is operable not only to cut material, but to direct the cut material into an aperture, from which the material can be removed upon the application of negative pressure. The disclosed method and apparatus have particular unity in surgical cutting applications.
