A method for using a defoaming formulation useful as an antifoaming agent, a foam controlling agent, or a defoaming agent. The method comprises adding the defoaming formulation that comprises one or more alkoxylates species to a system wherein the one or more alkoxylate species is characterized as Acc- [OX)I]n, wherein Acc is an acceptor having a functionality of n ranging between 1 and about 100. (Ox)I are oxide blacks, each oxide block having a composition comprising from 1 to 150,000 units of oxide species selected from ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, bytylene oxide or combinations thereof and I ranges between 1 and about 10. The composition of adjacent oxide blocks is different and the average molecular weight of the one or more alkoxylate species is greater than about 2500 gmole-1.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour utiliser une préparation anti-mousse utilisée en tant qu'agent anti-mousse ou agent de contrôle de mousse. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter à un système la préparation anti-mousse qui comprend une ou plusieurs espèces alkoxylate. Ces espèces alkoxylate sont caractérisées comme Acc-[OX)¿i?]¿n?, Acc étant un accepteur qui présente une fonctionnalité de n située entre 1 et environ 100. (Ox)¿i? sont des blocs oxyde, chaque bloc oxyde présentant une composition qui comprend de 1 à 150000 unités d'espèces oxyde choisies parmi oxyde d'éthylène, oxyde de propylène, oxyde de butylène ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci et i est situé entre 1 et environ 10. La composition de blocs oxyde adjacents est différente et le poids moléculaire moyen desdites espèces alkoxylate est supérieur à environ 2500 gmole?-1¿. Certains modes de réalisation de la présente invention présentent des mélanges d'espèces alkoxylate qui présentent des poids moléculaires moyens situés entre environ 5000 et environ 3000000 gmole?-1¿.
