A method of partially scrambling a data stream (6) including transport stream packets (7), each transport stream packet (7) having a header (8) and a payload (9), wherein a sequence of transport stream packets (7) has payloads carrying encoded data elements, arranged in units (15), includes: selecting transport stream packets (7) forming a sub~sequence of the sequence, and scrambling at least part of the payloads (9) of each transport stream packet (7) in the subsequence. The method further includes monitoring the payloads (9) of at least some of the transport stream packets (7) in the sequence for the presence of data (22) indicating a boundary between two subsequent units (15), and, for selected units (15), including at least one of the transport stream packets (7) carrying data forming part of the selected unit (15) in the sub-sequence.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour embrouiller partiellement un flux de données (6) comprenant des paquets de flux de transport (7). Chaque paquet de flux de transport (7) présente un en-tête (8) et une charge (9). Une séquence de paquets de flux de transport (7) présente des charges qui portent des éléments de données codés, disposés en unités (15). Le procédé selon cette invention consiste à sélectionner des paquets de flux de transport (7) formant une sous-séquence de ladite séquence, puis à embrouiller au moins partiellement les charges (9) de chaque paquet de flux de transport (7) dans cette sous-séquence. Le procédé consiste également à surveiller les charges (9) d'au moins certains des paquets de flux de transport (7) dans la séquence concernant la présence de données (22) qui indiquent une limite entre deux unités successives (15), puis, pour des unités sélectionnées (15), à intégrer au moins un des paquets de flux de transport (7) portant des données qui font partie de l'unité sélectionnée (15) dans la sous-séquence.
