The invention relates to a device for delivering a plug (1) in a vessel of a human or animal body, comprising an inserter provided with a guiding channel (4) and means for urging the plug into the channel (4), characterised in that said channel (4) is adapted for radially compressing the plug during the displacement thereof towards the distal end of the channel (4). The compression of the plug (1) is carried out only a few seconds before its placement while respecting the integrity thereof. The elasticity characteristics of the plug (1) are thus fully preserved. The present invention can be used in open surgery or endoscopy, mainly in vascular surgery.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de délivrance d'un bouchon (1) dans un conduit du corps humain ou animal comprenant un introducteur muni d'un canal (4) de guidage et de moyens pour pousser le bouchon dans le canal (4) caractérisé par le fait que ledit canal (4) est configuré pour comprimer radialement le bouchon au cours de son déplacement vers l'extrémité distale du canal (4). La compression du bouchon (1) est ainsi réalisée seulement quelques secondes avant sa mise en place en respectant son intégrité. Cela permet au bouchon (1) de conserver toutes ses caractéristiques d'élasticité. La présente invention trouvera son application en chirurgie ouverte ou endoscopie et en particulier en chirurgie vasculaire.
