A fishing rod holder (10) having a hip plate made (12) of thin, flexible plastic, with a cylindrical tube (24), open at its top and bottom, attached to the hip plate. The tube (24) slopes, from its bottom to its top, both forwardly and outwardly from the hip plate and supports a fishing rod (36), with the reel of the rod hanging and being supported on the top edge of the tube. When the hip plate is worn on a user's belt, the tip of the rod, and the hook, are located forwardly and to the side of the user, keeping them out of harm's way. The tube can be slidingly detachable from the hip plate and can be made in various forms to hold different kinds of fishing rods.
Dispositif de retenue (10) de canne à pêche doté d'une plaque de hanche (12) constituée d'un plastique fin et souple et d'un tube cylindrique (24) ouvert à ses extrémités supérieure et inférieure et fixé sur la plaque de hanche. Le tube (24) est incliné du bas vers le haut, à la fois vers l'avant et vers l'extérieur, par rapport à la plaque de hanche et supporte une canne à pêche (36), le moulinet de la canne à pêche pendant et reposant sur le bord supérieur du tube. Lorsque la plaque de hanche est attachée à la ceinture de l'utilisateur, le bout de la canne et le crochet sont situés en avant et latéralement par rapport à l'utilisateur, ce qui les met hors d'état de provoquer des dommages. Ledit tube peut être détaché de la plaque de hanche par coulissement et peut prendre des formes diverses pour retenir différents types de cannes à pêche.
