(57) Abstract The invention concerns a method and device designed to enable frequency converters to be connected in parallel. In this method, active compensation control is used to control the current distribution between the individual converters. In order to increase the reliability of the assembly of connected-up converters, fauty units can be taken out of the assembly even while the assembly is in operation. Fur- thermore, converters can be switched in or out during operation in order to adapt the assembly to changes in load.
