A room finishing and decorating molding which eliminates the use of masking tape when painting the walls or the ceiling of a room and which does not require precise cutting along the room moldings when applying wall paper. The molding comprises a long base memberpermanently secured to the wall of the room and a coextensive front member releasably clipped over and covering the base member. The front member is removed for painting or wall paper application. The molding is used as a baseboard, ceiling molding or as a facade for door and window frames.
