There is found out a novel pathway wherein 15K granulysin showing no cytotoxicity per se is incorporated into a macrophage and activated to thereby kill and injure bacteria having been incorporated into the macrophage. It is also found out that use of the above-described 15K granulysin as an active ingredient makes it possible to provide an efficacious remedy for infections which has little side effect and to which bacteria can acquire little tolerance. Namely, a remedy for infections which comprises 15K granulysin as the active ingredient.
On a découvert une nouvelle voie dans laquelle la granulysine 15K ne présentant pas de toxicité en soi est incorporée dans un macrophage et est activée pour tuer et abîmer les bactéries ayant été incorporées dans le macrophage. On a également découvert que l'utilisation de ladite granulysine 15K en tant que principe actif permet la production d'un remède efficace contre les infections possédant peu d'effets secondaires et vis-à-vis duquel les bactéries ne peuvent acquérir qu'une faible tolérance. L'invention concerne un remède contre les infections, contenant de la granulysine en tant que principe actif.
