A method and system for conveying an event reminder associated with an event according to various embodiments of the invention are disclosed. Specifically, the method comprises receiving a spoken indication of an event description from a user and receiving an indication of an event time. The method further comprises storing the event description in association with the user in a memory. An event reminder time is determined based on the event description. In response to an occurrence of the event reminder time, the event reminder comprising at least the event description is conveyed to the user. The instant invention allows the user to provision an event reminder by using voice, which enables the user to employ different types of communication devices (such as legacy POTS phones, VoIP phones, wireless communication devices and the like) for establishing a reminder provisioning session with a server.
Selon différents mode de réalisation, la présente invention concerne un procédé et un système d'envoi d'un rappel d'événement associé à un événement. Plus particulièrement, le procédé comprend la réception d'une indication orale d'une description d'événement de la part d'un utilisateur et la réception d'une indication d'une heure d'événement. Le procédé comprend en outre le stockage dans une mémoire de la description d'événement en association avec l'utilisateur. On détermine une heure de rappel d'événement en fonction de la description d'événement. En réponse à une occurrence de l'heure de rappel d'événement, le rappel d'événement comprenant au moins la description d'événement est envoyé à l'utilisateur. La présente invention permet à l'utilisateur de préparer un rappel d'événement en utilisant la voix, ce qui permet à l'utilisateur d'employer différents types de dispositifs de communication (tels que téléphones ordinaires, téléphones à voix sur IP, dispositifs de communication sans fil et similaires) afin d'établir une session de préparation de rappel avec un serveur.
