It has become possible to amplify cells selectively by introducing thereinto a gene coding for a fusion protein containing (a) a region to which a ligand binds, (b) a region which causes association when a ligand binds to the region (a) and (c) a region which imparts the cells a proliferative activity when the association occurs, and giving the cells ligand stimulation.
