A sliding loose leaf binder having a fixed part, a movable part, and releasable locking means is provided. The fixed part comprises a right base member, a plurality of mounting apertures, a plurality of right ring elements, first and second top members of mating tracks, and first bottom members of mating tracks. The movable part comprises a left base member, a plurality of left ring elements, third top members of mating tracks, and second and third bottom members of mating tracks. The releasable locking means comprises a first, second, third, and fourth elements of releasable locking means. The sliding loose leaf binder can be opened or closed by sliding the movable part in or out toward the fixed part along the mating tracks.
