Pharmaceutical compositions for use in the field of therapeutic chemistry and particularly that of pharmaceutical technology are disclosed. The compositions are suitable for rectal delivery and consist of an effervescent mixture of an alkali metal bicarbonate and a predetermined acid reaction compound selected from the group which consists of monosodium or monopotassium phosphate, monosodium citrate, pyroglutamic acid and glutamic acid, combined or mixed with one or more diluents or carriers suitable for preparing a pharmaceutical form for rectal delivery. A method for making pharmaceutical compositions for rectal delivery, wherein an acid reaction salt selected from monosodium phosphate, monopotassium phosphate, monosodium citrate, pyroglutamic acid and glutamic acid, and an alkali metal bicarbonate are incorporated into a hydrophilic excipient then an opacifier, and the mixture is added to a fatty excipient that melts at a temperature adjacent to the body temperature, is also disclosed. Said compositions may be used as a laxative drug.

L'invention se rapporte au domaine de la chimie thérapeutique et plus particulièrement à celui de la pharmacotechnie. L'invention consiste donc en des compositions pharmaceutiques destinées à la voie rectale, formées d'un mélange effervescent constitué par un bicarbonate de métal alcalin et un composé à réaction acide déterminé choisi dans le groupe constitué par le phosphate monosodique ou monopotassique, le citrate monosodique, l'acide pyroglutamique et l'acide glutamique, en association ou en mélange avec un ou plusieurs diluants ou véhicules adaptés à la réalisation d'une forme pharmaceutique destinée à la voie rectale. L'invention a également pour objet un procédé de réalisation des compositions pharmaceutiques destinées à la voie rectale, qui consiste en ce que l'on incorpore un sel à réaction acide choisi parmi le phosphate monosodique, le phosphate monopotassique, le citrate monosodique, l'acide pyroglutamique et l'acide glutamique et un bicarbonate de métal alcalin à un excipient hydrophile puis un agent opacifiant et on introduit ce mélange dans un excipient gras fusible au voisinage de la température corporelle. Utilisation comme médicament laxatif.
