A power recoilable rule has an improved bumper (60) for cushioning the recoil impact of the blade hook (20) when the blade (16) is refracted into the casing (12). The casing (12) has an opening (38) at a juncture between the bottom wall (32) and front wall (34), and a bumper (60) is mounted in the casing (12) within the opening for linear sliding movement relative to the casing in a path along the bottom wall (32). The opening (38) in the front wall (34) and the outer end of the bumper cooperate to provide an exit aperture for the elongated blade (16) which extends outwardly through the exit aperture (41) and has a hook (20) on its outer end. A shock absorbing compression spring (68) acts between the inner end of the bumper and the housing, and it is compressed by the inward movement of the bumper to absorb energy imparted by the hook when it impacts the bumper.
L'invention concerne un ruban de mesure à enroulement forcé, muni d'un butoir amélioré (60) qui sert à amortir le choc dû au retour du crochet (20) se produisant lorsque la lame (16) se rétracte à l'intérieur du boîtier (12). Le boîtier (12) comporte une ouverture (38) à cheval entre la paroi de fond (32) et la paroi avant (34); un butoir (60) est monté dans le boîtier (12) à l'intérieur de ladite ouverture de manière à pouvoir coulisser en ligne droite par rapport au boîtier, sur une trajectoire le long de la paroi de fond (32). L'ouverture (38) pratiquée dans la paroi avant (34) et l'extrémité extérieure du butoir forment ensemble un orifice de sortie destiné à la lame allongée (16) qui s'étend vers l'extérieur par ladite ouverture (41) et possède un crochet (20) à son extrémité extérieure. Un ressort de pression amortisseur de choc (68), placé entre l'extrémité intérieure du butoir et le boîtier, se comprime sous l'effet du mouvement du butoir vers l'intérieur pour absorber l'énergie communiquée par le crochet lorsque celui-ci percute le butoir.
