A method and system to facilitate image guided surgery is disclosed. Using pre-acquired images of a patient's internal and/or external anatomy, markings can be made to the pre-acquired images to plan or track a procedure. To further facilitate image guided surgery, an image of the markings is projected onto the patient, said image corresponding to the markings made on the pre-acquired images of the patient. To accomplish this, the position of the patient and the image are determined in the same frame of reference. The markings made on the pre-acquired images are then mapped onto the corresponding locations of the patient. The image projecting device then projects images onto the patient corresponding to the markings made on the pre-acquired images.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système visant à faciliter la chirurgie guidée par l'image par la projection, sur le patient, d'une image correspondant aux marques faites sur des images pré-acquises du patient. Cette image est projetée par un dispositif de projection d'images, notamment un laser émettant une lumière visible cohérente. La position du patient et l'image sont déterminées dans le même cadre de référence. Les marques faites sur les images pré-acquises sont ensuite reportées sur les points correspondants du patient. Le dispositif de projection d'images projette alors sur le patient des images correspondant aux marques faites sur les images pré-acquises. Les images projetées par le dispositif de projection d'images peuvent être marquées, à titre temporaire ou permanent, sur le patient de sorte qu'elles restent visibles même après que le dispositif de projection d'images a cessé d'émettre des rayonnements. Il est possible également d'utiliser une substance photodynamique en association avec la lumière émise par le laser pour traiter des tumeurs et autres anomalies chez le patient.
