A multistep process for the continuous preparation of organic polyisocyanates, preferably aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates, by reacting the corresponding organic polyamines with carbonic acid derivatives and alcohols to give monomeric polyurethanes and pyrolyzing the latter involves separating the resultant polyisocyanates and worthless residues in certain reaction steps and recycling the reusable by-products into earlier steps.

Procédé en plusieurs étapes pour la préparation en continu de polyisocyanates organiques, de préférence des diisocyanates aliphatiques ou cycloaliphatiques, par réaction des polyamines organiques correspondantes avec des dérivés d'acide carbonique et des alcools pour former des polyuréthanes monomères, par pyrolyse de ces derniers, tout en séparant les polyisocyanates résultants et les résidus sans valeur lors de certaines étapes de la réaction, et en recyclant les produits réutilisables vers les étapes initiales.
