The invention relates to a filler material 1, 4, in particular for improving the quality of a joint seam formed during thermal joining of two metallic structural components 11, 12. According to the invention, the filler material 1, 4 comprises a core 2, 5 and a coating 3, 15 that surrounds said core at least in sections. Because the filler material comprises a coating 3, 15 on the core 2, 5, the alloying material for the coating 3, 15 may be selected largely independently of any possibly limiting metallurgical requirements in relation to the base material for the core 2, 5 so that with the use of the heterogeneous filler material 1, 4 according to the invention optimal joint seam characteristics of the joined structural components always result, largely irrespective of the materials composition of the core 2, 5. If an essentially H-shaped cross-sectional geometry of the filler material 1, 4 is used, moreover, preliminary fixing or alignment of the structural components 11, 12 that are to be joined in a thermal joining process becomes possible.

L'invention concerne une matière de charge 1, 4, en particulier destinée à améliorer la qualité d'un joint formé au cours du raccordement thermique de deux composants de structure métalliques 11, 12. Selon l'invention, la matière de charge 1, 4 comprend un cAEur 2, 5 et un revêtement 3, 15 qui entoure ledit cAEur au moins sur des parties. Du fait que la matière de charge comprend un revêtement 3, 15 sur le cAEur 2, 5, la matière d'alliage pour le revêtement 3, 15 peut être sélectionnée en général indépendamment de n'importe quelles exigences métallurgiques limitatives concernant la matière de base pour le cAEur 2, 5, de sorte qu'avec l'utilisation de la matière de charge hétérogène 1, 4 selon l'invention, il résulte toujours des caractéristiques optimales de joint des composants de structure raccordés, en général indépendamment de la composition des matières du cAEur 2, 5. Si on utilise, de plus, une géométrie en coupe transversale de la matière de charge 1, 4 essentiellement en forme de H, la fixation préliminaire ou l'alignement préliminaire des composants de structure 11, 12 qui doivent être raccordés dans un procédé de raccordement thermique deviennent possibles.
