An electrolytic tilt sensor (30) is disclosed which comprises a containment envelope having a metallic container (32) and a header (44) , the envelope defining a chamber (36) and having at least one pair of apertures (46) , an electrolytic solution (37) partially filling the chamber, and at least one pair of electrodes (54) , each electrode including an electrically active, transverse portion (54) positioned within the chamber in a general horizontal alignment with one another defining a tilt axis, and a lead portion (58) extending to the exterior of the envelope through the respective aperture. The tilt sensor may further include a sealing material disposed in each aperture of the providing a substantial fluid-tight seal about the respective electrode.
L'invention concerne un détecteur d'inclinaison électrolytique qui comprend une enceinte de confinement comportant un conteneur métallique et un collecteur, cette enceinte formant une chambre et comportant au moins une paire d'ouvertures, une solution électrolytique remplissant partiellement la chambre, et au moins une paire d'électrodes dont chacune comprend une partie transversale active qui est électriquement disposée dans la chambre dans un alignement généralement horizontal par rapport à l'autre électrode pour former un axe d'inclinaison, et enfin, une partie d'attaque qui s'étend de l'extérieur de l'enceinte et traverse l'ouverture respective. Le détecteur d'inclinaison comprend éventuellement un matériau d'étanchéité disposé dans chaque ouverture pour former autour de l'électrode respective un joint sensiblement étanche aux fluides.
