Description

A threadless coupling (10) includes a first member (20) and a second member (22) and a split locking ring (70) disposed there between. The first member includes an exterior surface (34) with a rib (38) extending away therefrom. The rib includes a first apex (42), a second apex (46) and a groove (44) disposed between the first apex and the second apex. The locking ring (70) selectively goes over one of the apexes, engages and then disengages from the groove and then goes over the other apex upon insertion of the first member into the second member.
