A fabric softening composition including from about 1% to about 90% by weight of a fabric softening active, from about 2% to about 15% by weight of a principal solvent having a ClogP of less than about 3, from about 0.05% to about 15% by weight of a malodor controlling agent, and the balance being adjunct ingredients. The malodor controlling agent is selected from the group consisting of a quaternary ammonium antimicrobial agent or mixtures of this ingredients. The present invention also relates to a method for reducing malodor by applying such a composition to a fabric article, and drying the fabric article.
L'invention a trait à une composition d'adoucissant pour textile renfermant entre environ 1 % et environ 90 % en poids d'un agent actif adoucissant pour textile, entre environ 2 % et environ 15 % en poids d'un solvant principal présentant un coefficient de partage n-octanol/eau inférieur à 3 environ, entre environ 0,05 % et environ 15 % en poids d'un agent d'élimination des mauvaises odeurs, le solde étant constitué de différents ingrédients ajoutés. L'agent d'élimination des mauvaises odeurs est sélectionné dans le groupe formé par un agent antimicrobien à l'ammonium quaternaire ou des mélanges faisant appel à cet ingrédient. La présente invention concerne également un procédé permettant de supprimer les mauvaises odeurs par l'application d'une telle composition à un article textile, et par séchage dudit article textile.
