A compound having selective modulating activ-ity at the alpha 2B and or alpha 2C adrenergic receptor subtypes is represented by the general Formula (1) : wherein R1-R6 is in-dependently selected from the group consisting of H, C1-6 alkyl, halogen, CH2OH, CH2N(R7)2) CH28CN, C(O)R8, CF3, and aryl; wherein R is H or C1-6 alkyl; and R is H, C1-6 alkyl or aryl. The compounds of Formula (1) can be incorporated in pharmaceutical compositions and used in methods of treatment of alpha 2 recep-tor mediated diseases and conditions.

L'invention concerne un composé présentant une activité de modulation sélective des sous-types des récepteurs adrénergiques alpha 2B et/ou alpha 2C, représenté par la formule générale suivante : (1), dans laquelle R1-R6 sont choisis indépendamment dans le groupe constitué par H, alkyle C1-6, halogène, CH2OH, CH2N(R7)2) CH2CN, C(O)R8, CF3 et aryle; R7 représente H ou alkyle C1-6; et R8 représente H, alkyle C1-6 ou aryle. Les composés de formule (1) peuvent être incorporés dans des compositions pharmaceutiques et utilisés dans des méthodes de traitement des maladies et troubles induits par le récepteur alpha 2.
