A doorframe system comprising a header, and first and second legs. The header comprises a jamb and a pair of casings and has first and second ends. The jamb of the header has a pair of laterally spaced holes proximal each of the first and second ends. The first door leg comprising a jamb and a pair of casings, the jamb of the leg having a pair of dowels extending from an end thereof. The dowels are received in the pair of holes proximal the first end of the header when the system is assembled. The second door leg comprises a jamb and a pair of casings, the jamb of the leg having a pair of dowels extending from an end thereof. The dowels are received in the pair of holes proximal the second end of the header when the system is assembled. The difference between the diameters of each of the holes and respective dowels is less than 0.8mm.
