A syringe assembly is provided comprising an annular syringe body, a plunger adapted to travel therein in response to manual force, said plunger terminating in an elastomeric seal in sealing engagement with the interior surface of the syringe body, said seal having admixed therein a lubricant capable of migrating through the elastomeric seal to bloom on the surface thereof, thereby imparting enhanced lubricity thereto reducing the movement forces necessary to enable controlled plunger movement.

L'invention porte sur un ensemble seringue comprenant un corps de seringue annulaire, un plongeur adapté pour se déplacer dans ledit corps en réaction à une force manuelle et se terminant par un joint élastomère en contact étanche avec la surface intérieure du corps de seringue. Un lubrifiant, ajouté au joint élastomère et capable de migrer dans ce dernier, génère une efflorescence sur la surface dudit joint, lui conférant ainsi une meilleure lubricité et réduisant les forces de déplacement nécessaires pour permettre un déplacement contrôlé du plongeur.
