A Programmable Illuminated House Number display used for home or business. The unit displays the address number that can be programmed via a set of switches attached to the circuit board. The leds are arranged in a seven-segment pattern and can represent some characters as well as numbers from zero to nine. The maximum number of characters is five. The leds are pulsed and appear to be constantly illuminated. A light sensor allows the sign to be turned off automatically during the day. In an event of an Emergency, the user may use any remote control to activate the sign to flash on and off. The sign also has an option of a battery backup. This permits the sign to remain lit in the event of a power failure.
