Abstract of the Disclosure A liniment for treating bowed tendons in horses comprises dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and an alkali metal hypochlorite, preferably sodium hypochlorite. The liniment is preferably a thin liquid but may be in the form of a lotion, gel or cream. The liniment is applied to the skin surrounding a damaged equine tendon.
