Very viscose oil and/or oil that may contain water and unconsolidated sands and/or other solids, is received from an oil well or from a plurality of oil wells and mixed into the stream of a fluid circulating system which is in communication with a common production collecting facility located at ground surface. The production collecting facility may be in close proximity to, or a considerable distance from the oil well(s). The stream of the fluid circulating system acts as a carrier stream to receive, entrain and convey very viscose oil and/or solids contaminated oil production from the oil well(s) to the common fluid collecting facility, at reduced fluid flow friction factors within the conveying conduits, and without the occurrence of preapitated solids blockages within the conveying conduits. Within the production collecting facility, contaminants, oil and carrier fluid are separated and stored for shipping and disposal. The heated carrier fluid acts to transfer heat to the oil and contaminants, prevents the fluids within the system from freezing, and aids in the preliminary and final separation of oil from the contaminants.
