A herbicidal formulation comprising a salt, such as a metal halide; a microbiological food, such as a carbohydrate; a detergent and an oxidant, such as hydrogen peroxide, all mixed into a solution with a diluent. The herbicide provides a method of controlling plants by applying to a target plant the formulation which then dessicates the plant and selectively promotes the growth of pathogens whereby the target plant is overcome and perishes.

La présente invention concerne une formulation d'herbicide comprenant un sel tel qu'une halogénure de métal, un aliment microbiologique tel qu'un glucide, un détergent et un oxydant tel que le peroxyde d'hydrogène, le tout formant avec un diluant une solution. Cet herbicide constitue un moyen de lutte contre la prolifération de végétaux. Le procédé utilisé à cet effet consiste à appliquer cette formulation sur le végétal visé, ce qui provoque la dessiccation du végétal et favorise de façon sélective la croissance d'agents pathogènes. Il en résulte que le végétal visé ne résiste pas et dépérit.
