A visual display system uses commercial graphics processing units (GPUs) to determine an occlusion of calligraphic light points (CLPs) in a visual display. A color buffer pointer address of the GPUs is changed to point to a CLP subpixel counter and color datum associated with each CLP is changed to an identifier of the respective CLPs so that an occlusion count of GPU indications can be accumulated.

L'invention concerne un système d'affichage visuel utilisant des unités de traitement graphique commerciales (GPU) afin de déterminer une occlusion de points lumineux calligraphiques (CLP) dans un affichage visuel. Une adresse de pointeur de tampon couleur du GPU est changée afin de pointer sur un compteur de sous-pixel de CLP et une donnée de couleur associée à chaque CLP est changée en un identificateur respectif de CLP de façon qu'il soit possible d'accumuler un compte d'occlusion d'indications GPU.
