The combination hair dryer and head shield apparatus (10) is for use with a hood-type hair dryer. The apparatus conserves energy while protecting the forehead, face, and neck of the patron from excess heat. The apparatus comprises a hood cover (20) and head shield which are stitched together around the perimeter of a common seam. The apparatus will protect uncovered portions of the patrons' head from heat energy from the hair dryer. The head shield and the hood cover are each made of a clear plastic material. Perforations disposed and aligned about the perimeter of the apparatus enable the hair dryer hood cover to be readily separated from the head shield for separate deployment of either. The hood cover is secured onto the hood by an elastic band (32) and the head shield is retained onto the head of the patron by another elastic band. The apparatus is inexpensive to make and readily disposable, thereby providing improved sanitary conditions.
L'invention concerne un ensemble coiffe de hotte de sèche-cheveux et écran de protection (10) pour séchoir du type à hotte, qui économise l'énergie et protège le front, la face et le cou contre une chaleur excessive. L'ensemble comprend une coiffe de hotte (20) et un écran piqués autour du périmètre d'une couture commune, ce qui permet de protéger les parties exposées de la tête contre la chaleur. L'écran et la coiffe de hotte sont en matière plastique claire.
