A pedestal control console is disclosed which includes a trapezoidal linkage for moving control actuators and a steering wheel forwardly and rearwardly, according to an operator's requirement. The console includes a narrow footprint at the base thereof to improve visibility past the console. The console includes a back upright pivotally secured on a shaft at the base of the console. This shaft also supports bell cranks connected by connecting rods to actuators at the upper part of the console. The actuators are widely spaced at the upper part of the console and the connecting rods converge to the narrow footprint at the base of the console.
La présente invention vise un pylône de commande comprenant une liaison trapézoïdale assurant le déplacement vers l'avant et vers l'arrière des actionneurs de commande et d'un volant de direction, selon les besoins de l'opérateur. Le pylône comporte à sa base une étroite empreinte qui permet à l'opérateur de voir au-delà de ce pylône ainsi qu'un montant arrière articulé sur un arbre à la base du pylône. Ledit arbre supporte également des renvois d'angle reliés par des bielles de liaison aux actionneurs situés sur la partie supérieure du pylône. Les actionneurs sont séparés par de larges espaces à la partie supérieure du pylône et les bielles de liaison convergent vers l'étroite empreinte à la base du pylône.
