A suture anchor and driver device is described that is designed to secure a suture anchor to a bone in a patient to allow soft tissue or the like to be secured to the bone. The suture anchor itself engages the suture along the length of a passage that passes through the diameter of the distal end of the suture anchor, providing for a relatively large area of engagement to minimize stress on the suture material. The driver is designed to engage the suture anchor and guide the suture material along outside surface of the driver.

Description d'un dispositif de conduite conçu pour fixer un appareil de rétention des sutures à un os du patient, afin de permettre aux tissus mous et aux parties analogues de demeurer attachés à l'os. L'appareil de rétention des sutures met en prise la suture sur la longueur du passage à travers le diamètre de l'extrémité distale de l'appareil de rétention, procurant ainsi une assez grande surface de mise en prise pour réduire au minimum la pression sur la partie à suturer. Le dispositif de conduite est conçu pour mettre en prise l'appareil de rétention des sutures et guider la partie à suturer le long de la surface extérieure du dispositif de conduite.
