A method of increasing specific gravity of a liquid or gel type deteregent product having a pH less than about 10.5, while at the same time imparting transparency or translucency to said liquid or gel type detergent product, comprises: (a) providing a liquid or gel type detergent composition having no greater than 20% by weight of (i) potassium tripolyphosphate and (ii) mixed sodium and potassium tripolyphosphate; (b) maintaining a potassium: sodium weight ratio greater than at least about 0.4:1; and (c) adding one or more of potassium salts, ammonium salts, or mixtures thereof, in an amount of at least 5% by weight of the detergent product.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'accroître la densité d'un produit détergent liquide ou en gel qui a un pH inférieur à environ 10,5, tout en lui conférant transparence et translucidité. Ce procédé consiste à (a) présenter une composition de type détergent liquide ou en gel ne dépassant pas 20 % en poids de (i) tripolyphosphate de potassium et (ii) de tripolyphosphate de sodium et de potassium mélangé; (b) maintenir un rapport pondéral potassium:sodium supérieur à environ 0,4:1; et (c) ajouter au moins un sel de potassium, d'ammonium, ou leurs mélanges, dans un volume d'au 5 % en poids du produit détergent.
