An integrated medication management and compliance system for enabling a care provider to remotely manage and deliver individual doses of medications to a patient, in a non-sequential fashion. The system includes delivery apparatus remotely located from the care provider, wherein the apparatus stores a plurality of sealed unit dose packages that are delivered to a patient at a scheduled dosing time. The delivery apparatus is coupled to a control facility and to a computer terminal of the care provider by way of a secure communications network. The system enables the patient's medication regimen to be remotely tailored in real-time to accommodate fluid medical conditions.
L'invention concerne un système d'observance thérapeutique et de gestion de médicaments intégré qui permet à un fournisseur de soins de santé de gérer et de distribuer à distance des doses individuelles de médicaments à un patient, de manière non séquentielle. Ce système comprend un appareil de distribution situé à distance du fournisseur de soins de santé, ledit appareil stockant une pluralité d'emballages unitaires scellés qui sont distribués à un patient à une heure de dosage programmée. L'appareil de distribution est couplé à un équipement de commande et à un terminal informatique du fournisseur de soins de santé par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau de communications sécurisé. Le système permet de personnaliser le traitement médicamenteux du patient à distance et en temps réel afin que ledit traitement soit adapté à l'état pathologique du patient de manière fluide.
