The deformation characteristic of a profiled aerodynamic aircraft component is improved by forming ridges in the top and bottom skin of the component. Two ridges form a pair in which the bottom ridge is at least partially nested in the top ridge to the extent that the ridges are bonded to each other in a trailing edge area of the component along a width extending in the depth or y-direction of the component. The ridges taper from the trailing edge area toward the leading edge of the component and the forward ridge end merges into the respective skin at a point spaced form the leading edge. The ridges function as ribs and strengthen the component while making it flexible for minimizing the introduction of compulsion forces when the component is deflected.

Les caractéristiques de déformation d'un composant aérodynamique profilé sont améliorées grâce à la formation de crêtes sur la surface supérieure et inférieure du composant. Deux crêtes forment une paire dans laquelle la crête inférieure est au moins partiellement nichée dans la crête supérieure, jusqu'à ce que les crêtes soient liées l'une à l'autre au niveau du bord de fuite du composant, la largeur s'étendant en profondeur ou sur l'axe des y du composant. Le biseautage des crêtes, depuis le bord de fuite jusqu'au bord d'attaque du composant, et l'extrémité de la crête avant se fondent dans la surface respective à un certain point espacé du bord d'attaque. Les crêtes agissent comme des nervures et renforcent le composant tout en le rendant flexible afin de minimiser l'introduction de forces de compulsion lors de la déflexion du composant.
