An electronic Memo Board Organizer (MBO), and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for displaying the identification, presence and contact information about at least one individual. The MBO and the GUI can be located in a visible place of an office and comprise a personal identification display area for identifying an individual and a presence display area for showing information related to the current actual presence in the office of the individual, his/her current location, and how he/she can be reached. Preferably the MBO and the GUI further comprise a user audio interface for recording and reproducing audio messages, and a user input area for entering and updating the individual's information. The MBO and the GUI may also comprise a user selection section for selecting the individual whose information is to be displayed. The MBO may also comprise a radio interface for connecting to a remote network, such as a Local Area Network (LAN) or to the internet, so that the individual's information can be entered and updated remotely, from an internet terminal, from an Automated Operator Assistance Phone System (AOAPS), from a security access and location system, or from a PC personal organizer and the GUI may be displayed on a computer station and be part of a computer-operated software application. 28
