This invention relates to a process for producing a desulfated polysaccharide, which comprises reacting a sulfated polysaccharide having a saccharide in which a primary hydroxyl group is sulfated, as a constituent sugar, with a silylating agent represented by the following formula (I) (see formula I) wherein R1s are the same or different and each represent a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, R2 represents a lower alkyl group, and R3s are the same or different and each represent a lower alkyl group, an aryl group or a halogen atom, and a desulfated heparin obtained by this production process.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire un polysaccharide désulfaté par réaction d'un polysaccharide sulfaté contenant un saccharide possédant des groupes hydroxyle primaires sulfatés comme constituant sucre avec un agent de silylation représenté par la formule générale (I) dans laquelle les trois R<1> représentent chacun indépendamment hydrogène ou halogène; R<2> représente alkyle inférieur; et les trois R<3> représentent chacun indépendamment alkyle inférieur, aryle ou halogène. L'invention concerne également une héparine désulfatée produite au moyen de ce procédé.
