The invention concerns a method and a system for transient and intermittent earth fault detection and direction determination in a three-phase median voltage electric power distribution system which comprises many lines. The system comprises : sampling means wherein the residual current and residual voltage on said lines are sampled, - transient direction detection means based on instantaneous power, - random intermittent detection means based on intermittent change of residual current amplitude, - means of integrating transient direction and random intermittent detection, alarm means indicating maintenance personnel to check the status of one line.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et sur un système pour la détection des défauts à la terre transitoires et intermittents, et la détermination de la direction dans un système de distribution d'énergie électrique triphasé à tension médiane, qui comprend plusieurs lignes. Le système comprend : un moyen d'échantillonnage dans lequel le courant résiduel et la tension résiduelle desdites lignes sont échantillonnés, - un moyen de détection de la direction transitoire basé sur l'énergie instantanée, - un moyen de détection intermittente aléatoire basé sur une variation intermittente de l'amplitude du courant résiduel, - un moyen d'intégration de la détection de la direction transitoire et de la détection intermittente aléatoire et un moyen d'alarme indiquant au personnel de maintenance qu'il doit contrôler l'état de la ligne.
