A flexible endoscopic instrument is provided with a plurality of elastic ligating rings (50) mounted to a tubular member (152) affixed to the insertion end of an endoscope (100). The rings (50) are adapted to be dislodged therefrom in sequence at selectively controlled times for treating multiple lesions during a single insertion of the endoscope (100) into a body organ. Each of the elastic rings (50) can be dislodged from the endoscope (100) and placed in ligating relation to a lesion when lesion tissue is drawn into the tubular member (152) by a suction force applied through the suction channel of the endoscope (100) and each of the rings (50) can be applied to a different one of the multiple lesions in the body organ during a single insertion of the endoscope (100).

Un endoscope flexible est muni d'une série d'anneaux élastiques de ligature montés sur un élément tubulaire (152) attenant à l'extrémité d'insertion de ce même endoscope. Les anneaux (50) sont conçus pour être détachés les uns à la suite des autres à des moments sélectionnés afin de traiter des lésions multiples au cours d'une même insertion de l'endoscope dans un organe. Les anneaux élastiques se détachent un à un de l'endoscope (100) pour venir se placer en position de ligature sur la lésion alors que le tissu lésé est aspiré dans l'élément tubulaire par une force de succion appliquée par l'intermédiaire du canal d'aspiration de l'endoscope (100). Chacun des anneaux (50) est posé sur l'une des multiples lésions de l'organe au cours d'une même insertion de l'endoscope (100).
