Description

Recombinant zona pellucida proteins having altered, nonnative glycosylation patterns are able to elicit the production of antibodies to natural zona pellucida proteins. Such recombinant proteins and the elicited antibodies can therefore be used in a contraceptive vaccine to prevent pregnancy in humans and animals.

Les protéines recombinées de la membrane pellucide présentant des motifs de glycosylation non natifs et modifiés peuvent induire la production d'anticorps dirigés contre les protéines naturelles de la membrane pellucide. Ces protéines recombinées et les anticorps produits par celles-ci peuvent être donc utilisés dans un vaccin contraceptif pour empêcher la conception chez les humains et les animaux.
