The invention relates to a method for producing .alpha.-(3-arylthio)- acetophenones of general formula (I), in which substituents R1 and R2, independent of one another, represent C1-C6 alkyl or an optionally substituted phenyl radical or benzyl radical. The inventive method is characterized in that: A) acetophenones of general formula (II), in which substituent R1 has the aforementioned meaning, are reacted with sulfuryl chloride and are subsequently hydrolyzed, and; B) the reaction mixture obtained in this manner is reacted with a thiophenol of general formula (III), in which substituent R2 has the aforementioned meaning.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'.alpha.-(3-arylthio)-acétophénones de formule générale (I), dans laquelle les substituants R?1¿ et R?2¿ représentent indépendamment l'un de l'autre un groupe alkyle en C¿1?-C¿6? ou un groupe phényle ou benzyle éventuellement substitué. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste : A) à faire réagir des acétophénones de formule générale (II), dans laquelle le substituant R?1¿ est tel que défini ci-dessus, avec du chlorure de sulfuryle, puis à effectuer une hydrolysation, et ; B) à faire réagir le mélange réactionnel obtenu avec un thiophénol de formule générale (III) dans laquelle le substituant R?2¿ est tel que défini ci-dessus.
