A gas lighter capable of providing increased controllability even to a person with large palm by applying an operation to release a locked state during a series of operations comprising the generation of spark by the rotation of a file wheel following by the operation of a side wheel and the blowout of fuel gas by the pushdown operation of an operating lever while the side wheel is not allowed to be rotated for ignition lock, wherein a rotating shaft (65) of the side wheel (62) fixed to both sides of the file wheel (61) of ignition means (6) is supported on a column (25) rotatably and movably in the pressing direction of an ignition stone (64), and a locking projection (62a) provided on the outer periphery of the side wheel (62) is locked to a locking part (85) of a cap (8) so as not to allow the file wheel (61) to be rotated for ignition lock, whereas the side wheel (62) is pressed to release a locking with the cap (8) to thereby unlock the file wheel (61), whereby enabling ignition.

L'axe (65) rotatif de la roue (62) latérale, fixé des deux côtés de la molette (61) de frottement des moyens (6) d'allumage, est monté de manière rotative sur une colonne (25) et peut se déplacer dans la direction de pression d'une pierre (64) d'allumage.
