L'invention concerne un disjoncteur 1 haute ou moyenne tension du type comprenant une bielle d'entraînement (7) reliée à un organe de manoeuvre, et une chambre de coupure (2) en regard comprenant deux contacts (3),(4), chaque contact (3),(4) comprenant respectivement un contact principal (30),(40) et un contact d'arc (31), (41), l'un des deux contacts (3) étant solidaire d'une buse de soufflage (32). Selon l'invention, le deuxième contact (4) et la bielle d'entrainement (70) sont reliés entre eux par des moyens d'accouplement (6) de sorte à avoir ensemble un mouvement de translation dans le même sens, et dans lequel les moyens de transmission (5) sont disposés du côté (21) de la chambre (2) adjacent à la bielle d'entraînement (70) et sont adaptés pour transmettre le mouvement du deuxième contact (4) entraîné au premier contact (3).
