ABSTRACT TERMINATING DEVICE FOR WIRE: A terminal for terminating wire comprises a contact portion for electrical connection to a conductor of the wire and a crimping portion for crimping to insulating material on the wire. The crimping portion is formed to have an outwardly bulged barrel-like portion. The bulged portion provides a configuration that has a dimension greater than that of burrs which may be formed during fabrication of the terminal. Thus, in use, for example, where the terminal is to be inserted through a water- seal bushing, damage resulting from sharp burrs may be minimized.
