A sheathed and flanged temperature probe has a cylindrical sheath (52) and a flange (38) of the same metallic material. The cylindrical sheath (52) is closed on one end (48) and open on the other (58), and has a length at least an order of magnitude greater than its outer diameter. The temperature sensing element is inserted into the sheath, leaving wires (54) protruding from the open end of the sheath. The flange member (34) is formed from a single piece of metal, cold drawn using an awl to form a continuous sleeve (40) having an axis perpendicular to the planar surface of the flange (38). The sheath (52) is inserted into the sleeve (40). The flange is secured to the central portion of the sheath solely using a press crimper, pressing inward over a majority of the circumference of the sleeve, leaving crimp edges extending on opposite sides of the sleeve.
L'invention concerne une sonde de température formée d'une gaine et d'un support, la gaine cylindrique (52) et le support (38) étant faits de la même matière métallique. La gaine cylindrique (52) est fermée à une extrémité (48) et ouverte à l'autre extrémité (58), et possède une longueur d'au moins un ordre de magnitude supérieure à son diamètre extérieur. Le capteur de température est inséré dans la gaine, laissant les câbles (54) sortir de l'extrémité ouverte de la gaine. L'élément de support (34) est formé d'une seule pièce de métal, étirée à froid à l'aide d'un poinçon pour former un manchon continu (40) dont l'axe est perpendiculaire à la surface plane du support (38). La gaine (52) est insérée dans le manchon (40). Le support est fixé à la partie centrale de la gaine à l'aide d'une machine à sertir par pression, exerçant une pression vers l'intérieur sur la majeure partie de la circonférence du manchon, et laissant des bords sertis s'étendant sur les côtés opposés du manchon.
