A cooking apparatus particularly arranged for cooking toasted sandwiches and the like comprises a toasting iron including a pair of hingedly connected platens (21, 22) arranged to receive a food product to be cooked therebetween, the apparatus further comprising an oven (12) for receiving and heating the iron to cook the food product therein, wherein the iron is slidably mounted to a guide member which extends into the cooking station. The platens (21, 22) may be heated by an induction coil (60) disposed inside the oven (12).

La présente invention concerne un appareil de cuisson conçu tout particulièrement pour cuire des sandwichs grillés et autres aliments semblables. Ledit appareil comprend un appareil à griller composé d~une paire de plaques (21, 22) articulées disposées de manière à recevoir un produit alimentaire à cuire entre les plaques. L~appareil se compose également d~un four (12) destiné à recevoir et chauffer l~appareil à griller conçu pour cuire le produit qu~il renferme, l~appareil à griller étant monté de manière coulissante à un élément guide qui se prolonge dans le poste de cuisson. Les plaques (21, 22) peuvent être chauffées par une bobine d~induction (60) disposée dans le four (12).
