The present invention concerns a combination ice chute and ice bin covering door for directing ice into the ice storage area of an ice or beverage dispenser. The ice chute cover is pivotally secured to a top surface of the beverage dispenser so that it can move from a closed position to an ice directing/loading position. In the closed position the ice chute cover serves to cover an opening to the ice storage area of the dispenser. A handle on the chute cover can be grasped to manually swing it between both positions. In the ice loading position a portion of the chute extends outward of the perimeter of the beverage dispenser, In operation, the handle is used to move the chute cover from the closed position to the loading position. A bucket of ice can then be lifted so that the open end thereof rests on the lip of the chute cover. The bucket can then be tipped upward so as to empty its ice contents onto the bottom surface of the chute cover. The ice then flows along the bottom surface and is directed thereby towards the back edge, where it then falls into the ice retaining area of the dispenser.
Cette invention concerne un ensemble goulotte de distribution de glace/couvercle de bac à glace conçu pour permettre le chargement du bac de stockage de glace d'une distributrice de boissons ou de glace. L'ensemble goulotte de distribution/couvercle est articulé à la face supérieure de la distributrice de façon qu'il puisse être déplacé entre une position fermée et une position de chargement du bac à glace. En position fermée, cet ensemble bloquer l'accès au bac à glace. Une poignée fixée au couvercle permet de déplacer celui-ci entre les deux positions susmentionnées. En position de chargement du bac à glace, une partie de l'ensemble se trouve en porte-à-faux par rapport à la distributrice. Lorsqu'on déplace le couvercle de la position fermée à la position de chargement à l'aide de la poignée, un seau à glace peut être soulevé de manière que son bord supérieur repose contre le ressaut du couvercle. Le seau peut alors être renversé de manière que son contenu se déverse sur la face intérieure de l'ensemble goulotte/couvercle et, de là, en glissant vers l'extrémité articulée du couvercle, dans le bac à glace.
