Fault-tolerant multicast networks via network coding com-prises a digital signal operator that combines data signals multicast from multiple sources and transmits the combined data signal via a link to the next or destination node. In one aspect, the digital signal operator includes an exclusive-OR operator that performs a Boolean exclusive-OR function on the received bit streams of the multicast data from the plurality of sources.

Linvention concerne des réseaux de diffusion multiple tolérants aux défauts, via un codage de réseau comprenant un opérateur de signal numérique qui combine des signaux de données multidiffusés à partir de sources multiples et transmet le signal de données combiné via un lien au nud suivant ou nud de destination. Dans un aspect, lopérateur de signal numérique inclut un opérateur OU exclusif qui effectue une fonction OU exclusif booléenne sur les trains de bits reçus des données de diffusion multiple à partir de la pluralité de sources.
