The invention relates to an angular calibration of passive receiving systems such as sonars or active receiving systems such as certain radars whose angular performances are insufficient. The inventive method makes it possible to calibrate an antenna in actual operation conditions by using a detecting system associated thereto. Said method consists in operating an immersed buzzer according to a substentially rectilinear uniform path and a submarine provided with an antenna to be calibrated according to any non-rectilinear path. The method also consists in using a trajectory tracking algorithm for determining a relative distance between the buzzer-antenna and known distances (ti) and in deriving a path followed by the buzzer and an azimuth corresponding to the positions thereof at measurement times. The thus calculated azimuth is compared with azimuth measurements carried out directly by the sonar associated to the calibratable antenna. Said method is used, in particular for calibrating sonar antennas before putting them into operation.
La présente invention concerne la calibration angulaire des systèmes de réception passifs tels que des sonars ou actifs tels que certains radars dont les performances angulaires sont insuffisantes. L'invention propose un procédé permettant d'effectuer la calibration d'antenne en utilisant le système de détection associé à cette antenne dans des conditions réelles de fonctionnement. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à faire évoluer un bruiteur immergé selon une trajectoire sensiblement rectiligne uniforme et un sous-marin équipé d'une antenne à calibrer selon une trajectoire quelconque mais non rectiligne. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste également à mettre en oeuvre un algorithme de trajectographie permettant de déterminer la distance relative bruiteur-antenne à des instants connus t;, et d'en déduire la trajectoire suivie par le bruiteur ainsi que le gisement correspondant aux positions du bruiteur aux instants de mesure. Le gisement ainsi calculé est comparé aux mesures de gisement réalisées directement par le sonar associé à l'antenne à calibrer. Ce procédé s'applique en particulier à la calibration d'antennes sonar lors de leur mise en service.
